DVT - anyone know about the recovery process?

Its not me, its dh and his leg, he's now injecting himself daily and going back to hosp on thurs to get the follow-up.

Whats the recovery time? Any further problems to expect?

My dad had a large DVT and PEs a couple of months ago. He initially injected heparin, and is now established on warfarin which he will take for 6 months.

Dad still hasn't recovered tbh - but he isn't very well generally so that may have an effect

Yes, and his leg is still very swollen - 5" bigger than the other one. Others on here have said it is quite normal to take 6 or 8 weeks for the clot to dissolve on it's own
