So where do I find a good Dermatologist?

Lovely friend has been suffering with a swollen face/ rash/ nerve pain since November and his GP sounds useless. They've referred him to a Skin Surgeon as apparently there are no Dermatologists where they live/ Neurologist waiting list is two years and if he goes to see the Skin Surgeon he'll jump into the system higher up. Seems bonkers to me and am worried about him as he's very low, so would like to find him a Dermatologist if I can. It can be private, as am guessing an initial consult won't cost too much. London's good as he's down for work a lot. Anyone know of any body / how I'd find someone good?

Thanks alypaly - Manchester might be a bit of a schlep for him though. Don't suppose anyone knows anyone closer to Midlands or London??

There's a Dr Rustin at the Royal Free- must be private as well.(google) Another good person is Dr Christina Green (Tina) who works from a private hospital 35 miles north of London in Herts.

Thanks Purple. Have you used Dr Rustin? She/ he's the closest for ease of getting to a consult.

sorry to butt in but i really rate dr rustin. haven't seen him for a good few years (no time for self care!) but have always been under him for my various skin conditions predominantly psoriasis and psoriatic arthritis.

That's good news then zonedout. Thanks for the recommendation. I will pursue..
