I am 95% certain I am growing a Bartholin cyst.

Felt a bit sore Monday night, by Tuesday night was very sore and today is no better. I have a large pea/small marble size lump right on the edge of my vagina.

I have read all the old threads I can find here about you all soaking & popping these delights, so have just had a soak in a hot bath.

Problem is - there is no "head" at all to pop. It is all still under the skin - which is very red & swollen. (Creates a "no entry" barrier for DH )

For those who have been there - how long did it take before you could pop it / it popped itself? Does it have to get HUGE

Any advice gratefully received.

Thanks

Hi i had one and due to see the gyno in a couple of weeks. Weirdly it went down I enjoy having baths with salts anyway but seemed to have dissapeared after going on a spa day? Lots of steam rooms..is thus a coincidence?

Anyway I started getting pain again morning after sex. Can it come from sex or again just a coincidence?

Got linked to this thread by the algorithm. Yes, Bartholin's Cysts do eventually give up their pus, but sometimes they damage the surrounding tissue. Just in case you feel tempted to see a gynaecologist, be aware that all the interventions that they offer are high risk, and please, protect your bits and do NOT have surgery!

So what would you suggest ?
