Period, temperature and feel rubbish

I've been having problems with heavy periods. Dr sent me for a scan for fibroids but nothing was found.

My period started last night. I have felt really terrible all day, no actual period pains but I feel exhausted, headache, nausea and I actually was sick this morning, which hasn't happened due to period since I was at school. I also have a temperature.

Am thinking of going back to GP, this isn't normal for me but I just wondered if it is normal for anyone else?

Is there any chance you could be pregnant? You need to rule out an ectopic pregnancy. You should go to the GP. It could of course just be a bad period while you have a virus, but please do get checked out.

Definitely not pregnant unless immaculate conception! Thinking bug, never had a temp with period before. Googles and got worried about toxic shock but that is so rare isn't it. Will keep an eye on how I feel. Dh luckily feeling sympathetic so have gone to bed and left him with dcs.

I went through a stage where I had really heavy periods which were very painful and I had a temperature as well. Each month they would get worse then all of sudden would go back to normal, this went on for 2 years.
I had a scan which showed small endometrial cysts on my ovaries.

The doctor said I was perimenopausal and wanted me to have a marina coil, which I didn't want. Thankfully they did settle back down again, although they are still heavy, but I am now missing periods on a regular basis.
