Hand cream in pregnancy

Hi there,

Just looking for the general opinion on what sort of hand creams are safe to use during pregnancy. I am 10 weeks pregnant and have been using dove intensive cream for a few weeks since I have developed very dry and cracked skin across the back of my hands. I suddenly had a thought, what if this is unsafe?

Thanks!

Your skin is a very important barrier to stop germs/chemicals getting into your bloodstream. A bit of handcream is fine. Please stop stressing, it is bad for you and your baby.

Unless you are using industrial bleach or plutonium as a hand softener it's fine

I think that all handcream is ok . I followed all the other rules but never saw a reason to worry about hand cream.

any bog standard moisturiser or hand cream will be fine, the only thing you have to watch for is hydrocortise cream - HC45 (which would only be available over the counter in a pharmacy anyway).
