Eating live yogurt. Generally eating healthier (if you don't already, that is). More fruit and veg and less cakes and chocolate. Not a judgement, just what's always recommended in health articles on this subject.

Try probiotics and also a good Zn supplement.
My ds had a prolonged fungal infections that wouldn't respond to anything external, inc prescription meds. We were even told that the extensive areas would scar.
As I was looking at various tests, we had his hair tested for minerals and it came back that he was Zn deficient. Added Zn+B6.
It's now about 6 months on, we still supplement occasional Zn tablet, but not only his fungal issues disapperaed, the darkly discoloured patches have disappeared.
If you research Zn, you will find that there is a link b/w Zn deficiency & fungal problems.
Couldn't believe that derm drs in a London hospital never mentioned it and they kept giving us other stuff that wasn't working.

Thanks for your advice; it's all good:Have done loads of research now and it sound like you guys have too.

I eat super healthily anyway and I have been taking supplements inc Zn.

I have downloaded a fantastic book off the internet and it suggested using manuka honey, live youghurt, eating loads of raw garlic, and apple cider venegar mouth wash. yuk.
But it has worked amazingly well, and my horrible mouth ulcers have cleared up, and also as a side effect my acne's gone. Brilliant!

going to GP today for the results of blood tests, but like nightcat, I'm not having much luck with GP's on this matter. They dole out pills and potions and just don't seem to understand about supplements or diet... Glad you sorted your DS's problem nightcat. Apparently fungals can affect your emotions and make you feel a bit disconnected from reality And cause a wide range of other symptoms including mouth ulcers and acne

I'll let you know how I get on.
