I had my csection on 29th April (10 days ago) and have had a painful vien in the back of my leg it has moved down my leg slightly now?

The area feels very tender :-( anyone any experience of if this is DVT? If so what van I do? My ankles are no longer swollen and I feel generally okay scaffold area is still very tender but that is to be expected! I wasn't put in compression stockings at the hospital!

I had same as this after my c section. GP sent me for a blood test. Test came back that more investigation was needed. So sent to hospital and spent day on horrible observation ward. No one actually observed me - but a 12 year old doctor then come round looked at leg and sent me home. I was fine.

I would go to the GP in the morning and have the blood test done. Unless it gets worse.

Also my mum has had a DVT and her leg was burning hot and excruiating pain.

Butterscotch, Am I right in thinking you had SPD? Please get to the Dr's ASAP, I take it the midwife has been in and injected you already when you left hospital with the anti-clotting drug? do you have any support stockings?
Please do not take a chance with this and get checked out ASAP, Please.
