Anyone had a colonoscopy?

I'm due one next Thursday but my period is due any day now, if I'm actually having my period on the day, is it OK to wear a tampon? Would that affect what they have to do?

I would ring and check as not sure if it might come out.

Im not sure if they can/will do it if you have period as they normnally like to have a good look with camera too I would rig clinic and ask tbh

A tampon should be fine, it goes into a different hole!

Hi - I had one, and tampon/soft cup or mooncup all fine.
I saw a nurse first, for weigh in etc - why not ask her, let her know.

Although not the nicest of procedures I found I was treated with utmost dignity and professionalism.

Oh, it took ages to be treated so unless you like reading old 6mth out of date magazines an ipod/book is a great thing befoer the procedure
