How big is big? Are they proper skin tags and not moles? Why won't the doctor remove them?

FYI I have removed my own but they are very small, clean them and use my thumb nail and finger and pull them off quickly, keep cotton wool handy because they bleed lightly for a long time! If you can tie thread around them this will make them shrivel and fall off.

I agree with HellBent, if you tie a piece of thread around them tightly it's supposed to cut off the blood supply and then they die and fall off. I think it's definitely worth a try before the scissors option, I've got one under my arm which bleeds like a bugger if I catch it with my razor so scissors might get messy!

See a different doctor? My DP just had his frozen off at the wart clinic no issue at all.

Either that or you could fib and say they keep catching and hurting on your clothes/jewelry?

DPs didn't hurt or get in the way either, the fact that they affect your self estime should be enough.

Thanks i will see a different doctor and say they keep catching

Hi there. I had loads of skin tags on my neck and in other areas. After much persuasion from family members I saw my doctor about it. Fortunately my surgery has a wart clinic and after being on a long waiting list I had them all frozen off and have never looked back. It is a painful process and also a good idea to get it done in the winter so you can wear a scarf as they are quite unsightly when first done!!! Perhaps you could find a GP surgery with a clinic that you could register to.

Good luck I hope you manage to get it sorted.
