Any runners out there?

Not sure if I've got the right topic but myself and 2 friends are taking up running - partly as a social thing, partly a fitness thing and partly because we want to enter races to raise money for charity.

Does anyone know of any runs/races coming up in the north west that we could do. Looking at 5K, 8K, 10K ones that we could be sponsored for running.

GDG - it's in active convo's now. There is a Cancer Research 10k at Tatton Park in October. I was thinking of doing it myself.

potty1 - it's on 11th Sept - I don't think I'd get fit enough in a month for a 10K - what do you think?
