White lump on eyeball

SingleMum01 · 06/05/2010 13:06

For the last few days I've noticed I have a small white bump on the whites of my eyeball, feels like its got something in it. But it disappears after an hour or so. I normally wear contacts but am giving them a rest at the mo. Anyone any idea what it can be? I feel pretty off colour at the mo, tired and sick. Am wondering if it could be a viral thing as I get inflamed lymph glands when I'm a bit off.

Thanks.

I don't know what that is but you should see your doctor.

DH had something similar to this a while back. iirc its lack of oxygen to the eyeball causing the capillaries to expand.

I think you are doing the right thing by wearing glasses for a bit, but best to get checked out at the opticians asap I think.

I was also thinking about the blood vessels and blood pressure etc, which is why it's important to get it checked out, I would say GP as soon as possible.

Meant to add, I would say GP before optician because of the other symptoms of tiredness and sickness.

thanks, wasn't sure about going to docs as its only there in the morning and then gone an hour or so later (by the time I'd get to the docs)
