Who's on the mini pill?

I am so going to wish I'd namechanged for this...!

Just changed to the mini pill and everything is a bit...well... different in the lady department... I don't smell like 'me' any more. I don't mean anything nasty or wrong, just er, stronger. And different. Is this a known thing with the minipill? Big pill had no such effect. Anyone else had this?

And now I'm wishing I'd put this in Chat so that it would go POUFF in a few weeks' time !

not heard of this. Could there be another explanation?

kitbit · 05/05/2010 06:24

Don't think so, nothing has changed, same dh same diet, same lifestyle etc etc.... the change to the minipill is the only change.

Have no idea how old you are (and rest assured that you will be younger than me!) but if you are in your 40s possible that your underlying oestrogen levels declining and whereas the combined pill would counteract this the mini pill might possibly exaggerate the decline (am not a doc so not exactly sure, but certainly it wouldn't give you any oestrogen boost) ie maybe the changes you have suddenly noticed are due to the changed mix of hormones.

Kitbit - I have just turned 40. My DR would only give me 2 months worth of microgynon - telling me that I now have to review my contracpetive choice. I have never had a p[roblem on this pill, my blood pressure never change from 1 appt to the next, I am within my BMI no other helath issues - why did you have to change? If you don't mind me asking (wink)
