DS has a reaction at the site of Pneumococcal vax

At least I think it's the PCV, he had MMR at same time on the other leg but I think it's the PCV site. Immediately gone red and hot, slightly swollen, he's a bit grumpy but the actual leg doesn't seem too sore.

Anyone else had this? How long did it last for? Should I be worried? He's 19mo.

I guess there are varied opinions on this, but my tuppence is:

What you describe sounds like a normal reaction -- it's supposed to stimulate his immune system, so it's not surprising you should see a relatively minor reaction.

If his leg seems sore I'd give him Calpol.

In the past when mine have had a similar reaction they were fine within a few days. hth.
