Sorry for crap title, my first time

Roundup of today:

shiney, hope you and J have a wonderful weekend together.

Queen, yuck. I hated nearly every minute of my pregnancy. Seriously, if you search my name from about Jan-Aug 2009, it will all be me moaning about how much it sucks. Sympathy for you from another hyperemesis sufferer.

DIB, my stomach leapt a bit reading about your DS, how scary! Glad he seems to be ok.

Alice, your DS is very curled up in there and you've got a ways to go (sorry!) so wouldn't worry about bump size at all.

VT, I think you should prepare for the camping by ceasing all ironing now

BOF, what the hospital appt for? You ok? Hope you feel better!

ABF, hello and welcome! I also think of Carry On films when I see ding dong, DH has forced me to watch them as part of my education on what it means to be British

DI, I am jealous. Tell me next time it is 'dress like a pirate day'.

SAF, my mom believed in benign neglect and got two very self-reliant and capable children. I don't go for doorstop selling of anything, I have a very comprehensive sign that seems to be keeping people away and stuff out of the letterbox.

bitter, I'm sorry, but at your DS being a bottom-flasher!

GetOrf, so giving up diet coke makes you lose weight? Might have to try that one!

bella, glad the cake situation was sorted. I am jealous, I want ducks to come to my house. We just have the neighbourhood cat who leaves us dead stuff [boak]

Goober, yay for another pound off!

korma, flylady is the way forward.

Sazz, that doesn't sound too bad, 4lbs can come off in two weeks. Good job on all the exercise.

Jet, hello! You just reminded me to check my BMI, and I have JUST graduated from 'Morbidly Obese' to merely 'Obese'! Hooray!

Mitts, at least she is your XMIL

hells, good luck with the nits

ScreaminEagle, I'm another who joined late (though it's been nearly 6 months now!).

Norma, hope your DS's finger is ok!

Defluff, at 'yo homies' I feel 12 again.

Went to pick up DS at nursery today and was alerted to the possibility he may be developing chicken pox!! ARrggggghhhhhhhhhhhh I really really hope not, I've only been back at work a week!

My luck is seriously shit. On the positive side the nursery worker thought if he had it the spots would be showing up faster instead of the very gradual increase over the day. So either he doesn't have it and has some weird other rash thing, or he has a mild case, or it will be turning up with a vengence tomorrow.

Either way, it is wine o'clock, DH is going to Spar now to fetch some in.

Flippen heck it's all happening in New York. Trust Trills to manage to be there in the middle of a real life '24' episode.

TheDepartmentofWorkandPensions · 02/05/2010 09:07

You're all bullies.

Picking on me. Etc. I'll tell on you to MNHQ. And so on.

TheDepartmentofWorkandPensions · 02/05/2010 09:10

You're just jealous because I'm slim.

Anyway, you all smell so I'll meet my b/f in Manchester instead. He's in a band and everything. So ner.

TheDeptOfWorkingPenguins · 02/05/2010 09:11

no no youre doing it wrong, you need to start a sympathy thread, then c&p posts from other threads, and tell everyone you are being bullied, no need to keep quiet about it by just informing mnhq

TheDeptOfWorkingPenguins · 02/05/2010 09:12

whats happening in NY hells?

VinegarTits · 02/05/2010 09:22

time square evacuated because of a suspected car bomb

TotalChaos · 02/05/2010 09:24

morning ladies. will have to go and check the bbc daily mail website for this mention of NY.

Yank - could you (whisper) try some low fat ready meals and a bag of salad some nights of the week. or failing that, do something really simple, like tinned fish, jacket potato and sweetcorn from a tin.

JuJusDad · 02/05/2010 09:26

Hello ladies. Hope everyone's well

hellsbelles · 02/05/2010 09:28

hello jujus - long time no see!

Vinny - they've confirmed it was a bomb now. Though sounds a bit of a patched together affair with fireworks in it as well?!

bellavita · 02/05/2010 09:31

Morning Morning Morning

Crap weather here...

Vinny, it sounds like you had a bloody fab time - your nan sounds amazing (you are amazing, you have obviously inherited her genes).

Helloooooooooo Shiney, have missed ya!

Oooh loads of drama for Trills

Fanny, chuck us a sausage

bellavita · 02/05/2010 09:32

Hells, it does get better you know.... the boys have only just woken up! I have just got out of bed.

AmazingBouncingFerret · 02/05/2010 09:43

Just reading through last nights posts. "jushi" sounds like James Bond saying the word Juicy. I quite like it.

Cant be arsed this morning. DS is currently sitting in a pampers nappies box whilst picking his nose and watching land before time. It's all good fun.

DH is having to go into work so im not at all bothered that the weather is shit because we cant go out and do anything anyway!

Foodwise ive had my corn flakes and instead of snacking all the way until lunch I shall chainsmoke instead

Lizzylou · 02/05/2010 09:44

Morning all

DH has been told and suddenly he is now decorating the kitchen and utility rooms today.
I told him I was not prepared to put up with his fascist regime anymore and he had to wise up. I've found me some minging mates on MN (sorry The deptof Work and Pensions, no stunnas allowed) and he's just got to deal with it

bellavita · 02/05/2010 09:48

Can you come and tell DH to get off his arse Lizzy and finish painting our shower room - all he has to do is the glossing now and he is just sat with his lappy on his knee whilst I am at least multi-tasking - stood up at the work surface in the kitchen mning and eating my porridge

VinegarTits · 02/05/2010 09:48

hello jujusdad, did you let shiney out of the cupboard to cause trouble post

aww bella, i only wish i was as amazing as my Nan

She told the waiter in the restaurant that she had half a bed to rent

FiveGoMadInDorset · 02/05/2010 09:49

Catch Bella.

DS keeps dropping his trousers. This doesn't bode well for the future

Lizzylou · 02/05/2010 09:51

I'll ask him, Bella.
But to be fair he needs to do the hall and landing next.

Vinny, your Nan sounds fab

bellavita · 02/05/2010 09:52

He will do alright will the lad Fanny!

Did the waiter blush Vinny?

Lizzylou · 02/05/2010 10:08

Fanny, my DS2 is a flasher as well.
I am so worried about him starting (catholic) school in September.
He gropes my breasts and sticks his tongue in my mouth when he kisses me as well.
I am trying to deter him whilst also not giving him a complex.

hellsbelles · 02/05/2010 10:08

very impressed with all these 'handy' dh's! Much as I love him that has never and will never be DHs thing!

Bella - I'm longing for the day when I have to wake DCs up! Only about 10 more years to go

have to get my arse in gear and do a bit of tidying

bellavita · 02/05/2010 10:11

Hells, DH has to be pushed into doing these jobs...

Lizzy, DS2 is a bit of a groper. He will come and sit practically on top of me on the sofa and sort of pat my boobs. He twidles my hair too.

hellsbelles · 02/05/2010 10:11

at flashing DS's - I have one of those as well

TotalChaos · 02/05/2010 10:19

am not getting on with the Shred, so am looking for suggestions for something a bit gentler....

www.mumsnet.com/Talk/big_slim_whatever_weight_loss_club/957405-Easier-Exercise-DVD-than-The-30-Day-S hred

Lizzylou · 02/05/2010 10:19

OH, it's only taken 3 years of nagging.
I've almost done it myself a few times, but never had the opportunity (or the skills tbh).

DH will do anything garden related, he is mowing the lawns now, but the house? NOt so much.

Lizzylou · 02/05/2010 10:20

Total, how about a Davina McCall one?

Oh, saw Match of the Day again this morning.

Alan still looking hot
