How do you reduce your PMT?

I haven't had a period for over a year and a half due to pregancy and breastfeeding but have finally had a small amount of bleeding yesterday and today.Hardly anything really though. But I feel completely unstable, moods swinging between black despair to insane rage like I have never experienced before.
Any tips on how to reduce it? Diet change, supplements, anything at all. I'm not on any hormonal contarceptive so I know its all down to my own hormones!
Thanks in adavance for any advice

I use Evening Primrose Oil and Star Flower Oil all the time, without a break. A decent multivitamin may also help, one desgned for womens health - Boots have a good range.

I find it helps me. Try a varied diet too, not too much of one thing. Plenty of dark green veg helps, as does a bit of dark chocky.

Rock, you know what else helps? A bloody good rant!!!! To a friend or online. Just get it out!

Thanks! i'll stock up on spinach and broccoli.
I could rant but i would sound completely insane as I know I'm irrationally angry but I just can't stop myself.
I really hope it doesn't last long

Plenty of strong vitamins and fish oils, St Johns wort if its really bad. Some countries with a better diet than UK don't even know what PMT is!

Yes, my sis takes st john's wort. I take a magnesium supplement which seems to have helped. Try to lower your sugar intake - very hard for me at this time of the month - and no alcohol works for me too for the week before.

Basically you should try and keep your blood sugar on an even keel.

Mizu - no alcohol???? Are you mad!!
