Finding a good dentist

there are only 3 dentists in my area that are taking NHS patience.

Ds is nearly 3 and I want a dentist that will be good with children, any tips on 1.finding a good dentist 2. that is good with children?

is it trial and error?

In addition to this - I have phoned one and they want me to register and have an appointment and bring ds with me so he can get used to it! Is that normal practice?

The thing is I am terrified of dentists (well not the actual dentist!) so am worried if ds is in the room I might put him off for life! lol

Yes, it is a good idea to take him along to get used to it. Mummy, youre just going to have to be brave (you might get a sticker )
