Worried about irregular bleeding

First of all just want to say hi have never posted but have browsed lol.

Was hoping I could get some advice on a problem I have that is making me quite scared here goes in january I Started bleeding from vagina after a bowel movement was not to worried at the time it happenend a couple of time in january and again in feb and march, for the past 2 weeks I have also started bleeding really light but every day it does not seem to be stopping, I also have some pelvic pain during intercourse.
My last smear was 2 years ago so had another done last week waiting for results also beginning of march had some right sided pain quite low down and was refered for a pelvic scan to check overies I have a 6 week wait for that so have decided to pay£100 and go private this is tomorrow.

what scares me more then anything is that I have cervical cancer and the wait for the results is making me anxious I seem to have convinced myself I have this I have 3 children and worried I may leave them. I probley sound silly but cant help how I feel hoping somebody can advise me. Thankyou and sorry to ramble on.

Sorry you're having problems.

AFAIK there are a few possible causes for the symptoms you mention, and most of them are benign. Have you heard of endometriosis? With these sort of symptoms, it's usually top of the list of possibilities - much more likely, statistically, than something like cervical cancer.

Do you have a history of period pain?
Have a look at this site
Rectovaginal endometriosis could give all of the symptoms you mention, I think, so try not to worry too much - I know it's not easy.

Thanks for the link will take a look now and no I dont really suffer period pain only slight cramping.

Just an update, went to my scan this morning I have a cyst on my left ovary that measures 4 1/2 cm the sonographer said this would not be the cause of my bleeding funny I thought ovarian cyst could make you bleed, also she said she saw some dense area inside the womb that she thought was ashermans syndrome never heard of it she said its not serious and wants me to come back for another scan to check on my cyst so I still none the reason why Im bleeding
