Endometriosis (Bit of a TMI thread)

I've read a few posts lately about this, and think I might have it. I've got PCOS, so my periods are few and far between, they come with very little warning as well.

Since having DS3 17 months ago, I've had roughly 8 periods, and each one has been awful. I get such awful pains just before I come on, so much so that I am doubled in pain. This pain goes on for 1-2 days. During those 2 days my period is so heavy I barely leave the house. I use super plus tampons, and have to change those hourly, and I use pads when I'm in bed and have to get up three + times to chage them. At day three the bleeding slows down and the pain goes away, but I bleed for maybe 5 more days, quite lightly.

Does this sound like Endo, and would I just be wasting the doctors time if I went to see about it, seeming as I don't get that many period as it is?

Could be - but could also be something else, like fibroids. But you're never wasting time if you ask about it - if it's that painful, it's telling you something, and it's worth trying to work out what.
So do go and ask - it's worth reading up a bit on endo and fibroids first - and do push for a referral if you're in pain and feel its not being taken seriously.
What do you do for pain relief? It's worth discussing that with the GP too - can't be easy if you've got 3 DC and you're out of it for a couple of days each time.
