Period with microgynon 30 ed??

I started taking this pill about a month ago and have just finished the active pills a few days ago ( just taken first white pill 2day)
When i started taking it i didn't wait until the start of a period because i wasn't sure when that would be cus i had just had the implant taken out, so i just took it so my next period wouldn't inter-fear with my upcoming holiday.
now i am just wondering when i will come on i thought it was when u stopped taken the little active pill and started on the white ones.

Please help got a tiny voice in head saying preggers cus i had a little slip up just after i had the implant taken out before i started the pill

What was the gap between having your implant removed and starting your pill?

Most women will have a bleed at some point during the dummy pills week, the day on which they start will vary.

But if you had a gap between your implant out and starting your pills, and didn't use other contraception then you should check for pregnancy.

well we was kinda silly and had 2 slip ups, the first was when I still had the implant in but i was told not to have sex in the week before i was due to have it taken out Also cus i didn't start the pill on the first day of a period i was supposed to wait 7 days before sex but only waited 3 .
I am happily married so it wouldn't be a total disaster but not great timing as DS starts school soon and will be spending all our money of school stuff, plus holiday coming up.
Just wondering how many dummy pills people normally take before theY start to bleed, i am going to be taking the 3rd one 2night.

Also dont know if this helps but i had my last period a week before i had my implant taken out (beginning of march) but on the implant they were never normal periods

I went from injection to microgynon (no gap in between). It took about five days to come on, and then lasted for about four days. So don't panic just yet!

when i was on mycrogynon it would take me 5 days after last pill to start bleeding...

if you only waited 3 days then you could be pg

just released i didn't answer ur question above (sidge) the gap between implant and pill was about 2 weeks because i was waiting for a period but couldnt be bothered to wait any more as i said above i didnt want my period to clash with my holiday

If you had sex without using other contraception in that 2 week gap then it's best to check for pregnancy, regardless of what day you are likely to get your period in your dummy pills week.

When I was on Microgynon, I would start the white pills on a Weds and my period would arrive on Sunday so 4 days of white pills.

no we didnt have sex in the two week gap, just at the times i said above

Yes but you've potentially got a 3-4 week window in which you might have got pregnant.

The week before you had your implant out when you had sex, especially as you then had your implant removed and waited a couple of weeks before starting your pills and then had sex on day 3 of your pills without using condoms for the 7 days advised. As sperm can hang about for up to about 5 days you could be pregnant from either episode if he has strong swimmers!

So theoretically you could have ovulated just after your implant was removed and then not been fully protected for the first week of your pills.

I think it's unlikely but if you don't bleed this week you might want to test; also if a baby wouldn't be a disaster then no big deal, but best to stop the microgynon if you might be pregnant

I have a question now - does anyone know if for the time when you're off it (to get the period) you should use condoms?

Abs - do you mean the 7 days when you take no pills and usually bleed? If so then no, you don't need condoms as you are protected that week as long as you have taken all your pills correctly.

If you have missed any pills in the week before your pill free week (ie the last week of your packet) then you aren't protected and should run straight on to the next packet. If you are on Microgynon ED and have 7 dummy pills then again as long as you have taken all your pills properly you are protected in that week.

Yeah, that's the week I mean. My pack doesn't have dummy pills, you just don't take anything.
