Where to look when talking to some one with one eye that points to the side?

What is the best way to talk to some one close up? Is it best to try to look into both eyes - I find this very hard - or look into the forward facing eye?

Sounds like a silly question, but I don't want to look as if I am avoiding looking at the other eye if I only focus on the one.

If you have this problem with your eyes, what do you prefer. Can you tell if someone is just looking into your forward facing eye?

Look into their face - so normally the forward facing eye

I do look into their face - but, when you are having a conversation with someone, especially if they are up close, you tend to meet gazes. I just find it difficult to meet the gaze and hold it without flitting my eyes from the forward facing eye to the side ways eye, unless I focus hard on the forward facing eye.

But, I don't want to look like I am trying really hard not to look at the side ways eye.

I am worrying about something I shouldn't again, aren't I?

I have been told you should look at the persons eyebrows.
