I had my gallbladder removed three years ago - wasn't pg at the time tho. Had four incisions for the keyhole surgery and was given a pot full of stones to take home! Only the wound in my belly-button had stitches, the others were just held with surgical tape. The belly-button wound tends to be bigger 'cos that's where they remove your gall-bladder through. I was in hospital for two nights and the worse part was the pain from all the gas they put inside you to inflate your abdomen for the op - took ages for it all to disperse! While waiting for my op I'd lived on a fat-free diet as even the smallest amount of fat gave me a lot of pain. After the op I was back to normal withing two weeks and could eat what I liked.
