Endometriosis is a horrible disease which affects about 2 million women in the UK. It is debilitating, incredibly painful and can impact upon fertility, as well as all other aspects of a woman's life.

I know. I have it. And I'd like there to be earlier diagnosis, better management of the symptoms and pain, and in the long run, a cure.

At the moment, the average length of time between onset of symptoms and diagnosis is eight years. When I was diagnosed eight years ago, the average length of time was seven years. Treatments range from nothing, to drug therapy (often with drugs with lasting side effects - one puts the body into menopause, no joke when you're 22), to surgery.

More people need to be aware of this disease and the effect it has on women (and their loved ones).

I am totally fine about it honest. I am not in pain and if this bleeding would stop(blood clot) then I will also have no periods.

Hopefully ber a happier better mum instead of an old crab moaning and in pain all the time

Glad you've had such a positive outcome, Jamboure - but very that this disease has such drastic impacts on women and their families
