On Friday I thought I would treat myself to some Clarins moisturiser - I have used it before, but only when feeling flush. I applied it on Friday night and then again on Sat morning, and on Sat morning I also applied some sort of serum that I got as a free sample under the moisturiser.

Later on sat morning I noticed that my cheeks had gone slightly red and scaly like a I had a rash under the skin. |I have had this before in reaction to certain cosmetics, but as I said, not the Clarins. It usually clears up if i stop using the product so I just thought, oh well, I'll have to take back.

Last night however, my face started to feel hot, so I washed it just with cold water, but this morning I have woken up and it is worse than ever - my eyes are really puffy and my face is red raw. I look terrible - I am supposed to be going back to school tomorrow after two weeks off and really don't think I can face my classes like this.

I have taken antihistimine but don't really know what else to do??

NHS direct?

If it's getting worse despite an anti histamine, then I agree NHS direct, or the Walk In Centre if you have one near you.

Thanks, I went to the walk in centre, they just recommended a different type of antihistimine, so I have taken that and fingers crossed the swelling will go down!!
