Agony with Mirena Coil

I have had a Mirena Coil since June last year. Have had no problems and no bleeding at all since, just a few tiny spots about 3 months apart. However.... Over the last 5 or so days I have been in agony, with what feels like awful period pains, in my back and lower abdomen. It comes and goes, which is why I haven't been to GP yet. Sometimes it is gone for hours, then all of a suden it's back. Suffered with Endometriosis for years, a long time ago pre-DC's, but assumed if anything, the Mirena would keep it at bay. These pains are reminiscent of when I did have it though. Had a root around (TMI alert) and couldn't seem to feel any strings. Is all of this normal?

No it's not normal, you should get it checked out. Maybe it's slipped out of place?

Endometriosis can recur, I would get these pains checked out medically by a gynaecologist particularly if they continue.

I've got one and I'm pretty sure they said you should be able to feel the strings. With the other pain symptoms, intermittent or not, I would definitely go to the GP and get them to have a poke around!
