Has anyone had a mole removed?

I'm thinking of having a small mole removed from my face - it sticks out a bit and makes me look witchy.

Has anyone had this done? Does it leave a scar? Was it worth it?

WW- I am surprised. Mine was removed with a biopsy type instrument which basically lifted out the mole as an entire piece- the instrument was like a straw he explained which would cut it out .

Then the edges were drawn together and he tool great care not to damage th e lipline- drew the line on in felt tip first! he said any scarring would blend in with the normal creases we have on the lip and made it a vertical scar not horizontal for that reason.

Fortunately there is no scar at all- 3 weeks later there was nothing to see except the tiniest red line and that has now gone.

If it bothers you I'd ask for a 2nd opinion.

I had one removed from my armpit by my GP under local anaesthetic. no scar that is easy to see, I am about to book in to have a few others removed, but the surgery only want me to have one done at a time.
