Any idea how long an emergency referel will take

Went to dentist today as my jaw is now so stiff i can barely open it(see other thread).Had no sleep because of the pressure in my head and the anxiety.
The dentist xrayed me and said that the jaw joint on one side is completely abnormal and i have been referred to the hospital as an emergency.

If you know what department you have been referred to, then you could phone them in a few days (once the referral has had a chance to work it's way through to them) and ask when you could expect to be seen.
