Where do your medicines live?

Exactly that, I have gotten fed up of my messy house and decided to completely spring clean starting in the kitchen with limited storage, DP keeps all meds thrown on a shelf but nieces and nephews can now climb so no longer safe and they need a new home, ideas please [dp wants them to hand and available, and I want them locked away] all my closed cupboards are low down, The bathroom is too damp and have no where to lock them away in bedrooms, Also have 3 bottle of open cough meds how do I dispose of them

I put mine in a large tupperware baox with clips and then in a highcupboard.

Pour coughmeds down the sink and recycle the bottles .
