Does top of cheek pain and a huge amount of catarrh indicate a sinus infection

Basically I have had really pains in my ears for a week, yesterday the pain started in the top of my right cheek, and today the catarrh started coming down the back of my throat.

But the good news is my ears hardly hurt! Yey!!

I have suffered with sinus infections for the last year and even had an operation in January. But every time I had a sinus infection before I have always had a lot of muck coming out of my nose too, this time I just sound very nasally!

There are a few sinus areas in the skull so it's likely to be one of these that's causing the problem. Best pop to the GP

Yes it sounds like sinusitis. You probably need antibiotics but also menthol crystals (only use 5 at once at the most) inhaled in hot water bring instant relief.

Thanks, for replying.

have been steam inhaling for the last few days but not with menthol crystals.

Am due to see the ENT Consultant next week for a 3 month post op check! Hmm so far 3 infections (if this one counts!)

Bugger!
