I've been ill on and off for a month, blood results come back fine.
I was off work a while ago with double ear infection and a throat infection, back to work a week, off a week annual leave and then 2 days at work and I had to phone in AGAIN..

I have been so ill since tuesday that I can hardly feel my legs as I feel so week, I've just eaten something for the first time in 5 days.

Every single medication that I have taken has not worked.

I'm so congested I feel like I'm going to choke, I feel so drained i struggle to walk and I have a permanent headache.

I've had to cancel so many plans this weekend that I've been looking forward to.

DH has been amazing in looking after me. Even though housework has gone by the wayside. Today is the first day that i've spent more than an hour downstairs.

Poor you - I know some viruses can hang around a hell of a long time and really knock you sideways, but I think you should ring your GP/Practice Nurse on Tuesday to update them and see what they think.

Is work sympathetic?

The MAIN boss NO, my line manager yes, very.

I just feel so ill and can't imagine working like this, as, what I do needs alot of concentration and running about.

Well sod them then - get a sick note (or whatever it's called now) from your GP and take as long as you need to recover. Hope you start to feel more yourself soon.

are you congested in head or chest. You sound like me at the moment. Its scary when you feel ill and dont know the real reason why. I have been on another thread with asthma type symptoms that have lef me feelin knackered too. Have been in bed all afternoon ,just napping, cant climb the stairs without feeling tired. if you are still awake....im here if you need company

Oh that sounds awful. I remember over a year ago now being terribly ill - with nothing in particular really. Had had a few bugs and then was just hit with terribly lethargy and gerenal unwellness. Was awful, couldn't explain to anyone what was really wrong. Drs weren't very helpful tbh. A Dr friend of a friend did suggest it was some sort of post viral fatigue type thing which made the most sence.

It took a while to get better, even when I was back at work it was work, home, bed. The idea of doing anything after work was absolutely rediculas. I wish I had been more persistant with my GP and not given up.

It did slowly get better, but for a long time it just felt like it never would and the idea of doing normal life things seemed laughable.

Take care
