Awww...poor wasting, have a hug (( ))

Shiney , so I'm in good if slightly barmy company then!

Oh BoF lovey, are you OK?

You want one of these Bella, can you improvise something similar?

TrillianAstra · 04/04/2010 13:34

You fed cottage cheese to a man? And he didn't object?

I'm a girl and I wouldn't eat cottage cheese!

What's with the lamb obsession - they're only just being born, not big enough to eat yet.

TrillianAstra · 04/04/2010 13:42

Yeah, I know, it's traditional. We don't have any lamb. Not even going to be having a Sunday roast. Never mind. My mum always does a roast every Sunday, and for a while I felt like it was rebelling to be having chinese or pasta instead.

jetcat · 04/04/2010 13:45

at the cottage cheese. What with that and the > bed incident, it must be serious then shiney

what do we think of this bed for junior? I really love the white/pink version, but i think it may look a little naff Plus, the beech version matches her wardrobe, as that little wardrobe in the bed will no way fit all her clothes in

Treadmill advice also needed I can run (well jog fairly slowly) for 2 1/2 mins before i nearly throw up with exhaustion I can power walk for 40 mins though. So, at the moment, i am walking 90 secs jogging 90 secs, for 40 mins. Does that sound ok?? I aim to build up the jogging while reducing the walking, but its a start? Right??

bellavita · 04/04/2010 13:46

Mitts, I saw something similar earlier when I browsed a sugarcraft shop online. Sadly, the cake I have is 12" squared and the lifter is only 8".

I think I might browse the British Sugarcraft forum for some tips.

I would eat cottage cheese at a push, I am not a huge fan.

Had better go peel some apples for my tart.

lazy is nice sometimes isn't it!

DS has been thrown off the computer and is now watching Horrible histories. Which he would happily watch all afternoon. But we are going to force ourselves off our lazy bottoms and go for a beach walk.

Shiney - it is rather a healthy and random spread you put on there. Is the guest in question a veggie too? If not are you going to have to get separate frying pans? So juicy steaks can be served to keep up strength?

Jet - that bed looks like it solves a lots of things all in one piece of furniture!

My MIL is offering to have DS stay this week (she wants DD as well but probably that would be pushing it). Feeling gleeful and sad at the same time. I know the first day or so without the constant 'I am hungry, please play monopoly, I dont't want to do my homework'..will be rather relaxing...but I will miss him.

jetcat · 04/04/2010 14:11

thats lovely of her to offer hells, no doubt you will miss him, but will still be lovely

i could just eat some apple tart

Alicetheinvisible · 04/04/2010 14:15

Hello and Happy Easter

DH bought me a Ferrero Rocher egg and the egg itself is all bitty like the chocolates

I walked about a mile and half yesterday pushing the buggy while DH rode his horse, was nice but was fucked when i got home. Ended up having Waitrose Chinese meal for 2 for dinner which was very good actually.

Not doing much today, DH is going to ride again this afternoon and my Grandparents are coming over for dinner. We are having roast pork (and crackling) roast potatoes and carrots and probably broccoli and yorkshire puds. DH has made a fruit brulee for pudding

I don't like cottage cheese either, it is like half gone off philadelphia.

hellsbelles · 04/04/2010 14:15

she's an ace MIL actually!

Jet - do not succumb to apple tart

oh...I think I see a glimmer of sunshine...surely not.

hellsbelles · 04/04/2010 14:16

Alice - that sounds delicious.

Right - better get a few work bits done and then beach walk.

DidEinsteinsMum · 04/04/2010 15:18

Jet the walking/running thing sounds about right.

I have done nothing but eat today. It is so not good, especially as we are out for tea tonight - for 5pm.

Ds has gone ferral in the garden - i fear for the creatures in the pond

He was half pita and half fab when we ewre out so he is allowed to be ferral right now and he'll just get cleaned up before going out.

I have a laundry mountain to tame and a house to get scrubbed up from the delights of the 2 boys alone in the house, so that i can return the house to its owners in the state I would want to find it...

Gone to has an early ish departure so that i can do a few bits when i get back - like chucking all the junk out of ds' room when it has been temporaily stored for a few days. Then as of Tuesday, it is back to work . Year 8 books for marking anyone?

YanknCock · 04/04/2010 15:22

FFS

so last night when I said I felt like I would puke from stress of missing passport......apparently that was not the cause. probably viral or food poisoning.

I vommed at 1am, 6am and 10am....and then DS started too and is still not holding down anything (but i feel a bit better). We are not going to be able to leave tomorrow if at all, costs £200 to change tickets to following day (but cant guarantee seat availability), or the excess is £200 on our travel ins if we cancel trip altogether. Have been on phone to nhs direct, out of hours gp, airline, travel ins co, and my mother. arrrrggghhhhh.

DidEinsteinsMum · 04/04/2010 15:24

Oh yank

BitOfFun · 04/04/2010 15:56

It will just be a 24 hour bug, Yank, don't worry

traceybath · 04/04/2010 16:00

Oh Yank nightmare! Fingers crossed it clears up really quickly.

Shiney - you didn't really give him cottage cheese? Right - you need to watch the delicious Miss Dahl on bbc iplayer - seduction food for veggies

Feel rubbish today - painful sinuses and sore throat. But still made roast lamb for lunch with first of the jersey royals - yummy.

YanknCock · 04/04/2010 16:02

We are supposed to leave the house in exactly 11 hours. DS can't even keep 5ml of dioralyte down. I keep flipping back and forth....change the tickets to fly Tuesday at the same time, or leave them the same and hope DS is better by then. We cannot have him projectile vomiting on an airplane! The longer I leave it, the less likely the seats on Tuesday's flight will be available (if they even still are now).

Oh I hate this. Have just had to pump 6.5oz of breastmilk because my boobs were about to explode from not feeding DS since this morning.

jetcat · 04/04/2010 16:03

thanks DEM, its hard when i have no idea on what level to bloomin start at

enjoy your marking

Yank - aww, poor you Fingers crossed BoF is right, and it is just a 24 hr thing ( had it recently, and mine went as soon as it came - so there is hope!)

TrillianAstra · 04/04/2010 16:38

Hope you feel better soon Yank - on the bright side you'll be ridding yourself of lots of calories (tries to think positively).

JuJusDad · 04/04/2010 16:43

Nothing wrong with cottage cheese. Not something that's on my shopping list, but happy to eat it. If only to show that men can manage to do so...

DidEinsteinsMum · 04/04/2010 16:48

at ability of some to be ominvores. Wish that was an option for ds allergies are a major pita!

Right off to be spoilt rotten by ds' great gran who has insisted that she is cooking tonight...she is not a lady to argue with. Not if you value your life... plus she does a mean roast.

bellavita · 04/04/2010 16:49

Bloody 'ell Yank - will keep fingers crossed everything ok for you so you can all fly.

The bed looks nice jet.

you poor thing.

Have a nice tea DEM

Have been watching youtube tutorials on fondant icing, they make it look soooo easy when they flip the rolled out fondant over their arms and plop it on the cake.

Roast beef done, tart au pommes done, veg prepared, just need the boys to come in now....

Am a bit worried about DS1 and his scalp. It is always itchy. Before, I noticed bits like dandruff and the hairdresser asked if his hair is combed much - well no it isn't because his hair is short, she said to comb it a few times a day and it will loosen anything on his scalp. It really helped and we have managed to keep on top of it. Yesterday, I noticed bits in his hair, when I looked, there are huge bits attached to his scalp, when I comb they flake, but he has been scratching and he has a lot of sore patches. Do you think if I buy some of that TGel shampoo, it will be too strong?

JuJusDad · 04/04/2010 16:50

Yank - sounds like norovirus / norwalk virus. Especially if the vomiting stops, but, er, everything falls out the other end.

I had it a while back and it lasted about 3 days, but you're infectious for 48 hours after symptoms clear. Usual treatment - keep up liquids, keep clean as possible especially hands.

Tracey - thanks for the suggestion. I know it was aimed at Shiney, but I also know her level of culinary prowess...

bellavita · 04/04/2010 16:50

and hello to JJD >

OP posts:
JuJusDad · 04/04/2010 16:52

But hopefully I'm wrong re: norovirus and it's just a food bug that'll be gone later today.

TrillianAstra · 04/04/2010 16:52
