Ouch, I wouldn't say so TBH. Best person to ask is the surgeon TBH - don't hair dyes burn a little?

I wouldnt, cant you wait a month after or something. 8 days seems a bit early to be doing anything to a post-op site

I was thinking that my hair wouldn't be completely smothered in dye as it's just a half head of foils (though it gets rinses altogether) or perhaps hairdresser could avoid that bit ?

but they will have to separate it for the foils, then comb it through, then dry it with a brush thats been on 50 other peoples heads
Youre a braver woman than me, at least when youre brushing it yourself you can feel where you scab is and the surrounding area that maybe sore, your hairdresser and random washer girl/boy cannot. Plus you will have a higher risk of infection..

uh,yes,you're probably right mosschops - have had same thing before and the wound felt nicely healed by the time the stitches were removed - but think I'll leave it another week or so to be safe - will warn my hairdresser anyway !
Was just thinking that my appointment has come when I would be having my hair tarted up and was fretting about it needing a cut/colour -no time to go before either...thanks for advice
