HELP!!! My DS hasn't gone for a poo since Friday, he is usually really regular, eats plenty of fruit and veg etc but for some reason he now can't go. Any quick remedies out there???

We got some stuff in a powder from the chemist which I gave to my daughter. Had the desired effect. Sorry, can't remember what it's called. Good luck!

Prune juice...never fails! One good, full glass should do it. Don't give her more than 2 though, or it will produce the opposite effect

sorry, "him". Also, if he doesn't like the taste, add some fruit juice that he does like. Good luck!

Did he have a lot of eggs and or wheat? they give me constipation.

Apples cooked gently are good. Give them on an empty stomach. i second the prune juice but do it when he's not going any where!!

You can buy lactulose from chemist, dose on bottle, about £3. Pulls water to the poo so makes it softer and easier to go. works quickly. is basically sugar water. but do try to give a little water aswell to help it do its job.

Pears or pear juice seem to be recommended solutions amongst parents I know.

Panic over, poor darling has now been for a poo!! I am convinced that it was caused by eating bran flakes of all things!!! Thanks for all the advice though!!!
