PND or PMT: a few questions...

Since having DS3 I've been diagnosed with PND but I notice that it is horrendous the week before my period and also a couple of days before ovuation and the rest of the time I am actually pretty chirpy (so long as I get enough sleep that is: another issue!). Firstly is it normal to feel crap before ovulation as well as before period? Secondly, if anyone else reading this has bad PMT what do you take to help? I have started taking vit B6-magnesium and fish oils but only taken them for two weeks. Is it too early to feel any benefit? Thirdly, would going on the pill help? Any experience welcome! Thanks!

Anyone else?

Thisisyesterday PMT is horrible, isn't it? I hate it so much. I never had it so bad before DS3.

I take agnus castus, which seems to help.

I've hard of agnus castus but know nothing about it. I just want to feel 'normal' again not this fluctuating hormonal mess!

I had PMT a lot before having children and PND afer both children. I am taking the following supplements and definitely feel a lot better for them. Wassen Magnesium OK (is a combined supplement Boots sell this), Evening Primrose Oil 1050mg and Cod Liver Oil Extra High Strength. I take 1 of each per day. Also I read it's very beneficial with PND to be outside in the daylight every day so forced myself to go out with my DS2 and I was certainly better than after DS1. If only someone did a good nights sleep in a supplement!

I used to take vitamin b and magnesium. I was first prescribed it when I had mild pnd with dd. I went on to use it for pmt . It made me feel like a new woman.

Good to hear that the magnesium ok and oils are working for others as they are what I am taking. I am convinced this PND is related to PMT and is hormonal as through the month I can swing from happy / fine to oh my god the world is ending. I guess I need to give it a while longer to start having a good effect.
