Bleeding forever....

....seems like it, anyway. Started the pill last summer to ease PMT. Seemed ok, but 3rd month on it I bled for a month. Changed to a different type of pill and same thing happened. Now on the 3rd type of pill and I've been bleeding for about 6 weeks non-stop ever since starting it. THing is, this time it's Dianette and it worked for me pre-DD. My skin is terrible and Dianette is supposed to be skin-friendly. 2 weeks ago I tried to get an appoinment with my own doc but could only get one for a month's time, that's still 2 wks away from now. Don't want to see another doctor before then as I want to see the one who knows me best. Whole body, hormones, skin, everything seems so messed up and I'm in constant pain with it. Guzzling pain killers like smarties. Keep thinking I'm pregnant and have taken 2 tests, both of which were negative, but they were cheapie dipstick ones so dunno if I can trust them or not. Also nauseous, sore boobs etc. Worried maybe it's a big long miscarriage as sometimes the blood is thick and clot-like. (sorry if tmi!) Soooo fed up of all this. Any advice?

Have you considered going to Brook or family planning to tied you over?

Poor you, I had constant bleeding ith coil and its horrid and worrying.

Out of interest have you tried the patch or implant? I reacted terribly to pill but much better to patch and implant.

I was scared of implant as I felt once it was in I was stuck with it but its actually easier to get drug out of your system than with pill.

ALso I didn;t bleed at all with mplant but bled loads with pillll....... worth a thought?

THanks for replying mumlecrumble. Last night I was so bad I was doubled over in pain so went to a doc this morn and he's given me something to stop the bleeding and booked me in to see my own doc for a full gynae check at the end of the week.

That's very interesting about the patch & implant suiting you even though the pill didn't. I presumed if this wasn't agreeing with me that neither would they.... I'll talk to doc about it when I go.

Thanks again.

Yes, I;d presumed that too. But becasue they don;t go through the digestive system they are a much lower dose.

Good luck!
