Help please! 4yo with sickness bug and 6 day old baby in house.

This is my worst nightmare (well, almost)

My 4yo DD has woken in the night with a sickness bug - vomit everywhere. Ordinarily this would be something we would just deal with and get over, but the problem is we have a 6 day old baby and I'm recovering from a c-section.

Can anyone offer advice on what to do if my baby gets the bug? She's formula fed, although had one day's breast feeding initially.

Obviously we'll keep the sick one away from the baby as much as possible and we're practising good hygiene (anti bac soap, hand gel etc...) but I'm so worried about the baby being ill.

Think you're doing all you can do, what a shame for all of you. Hope she doesn't catch it - fingers crossed!

Poor you - is there anyone who can help you? Can someone take your four year old for a few days until she is better? 6 days post cs you must still be sore and exhausted - hopefully you won't get this tummy bug! You are right to practise good hygiene- keep towels seperate as well.

We'll get through it I'm sure, but just feel quite stressed out, when should be enjoying family time with new baby! Grrrr...
