chicken pox - when can we venture out

Just need a sense check.

dd's chicken pox rash came out on Monday afternoon. according to nhs website, there's no evidence to show that it is contagious after day 5 of the rash.

so can I go out tomorrow, or do i have to wait until Sat?

gp told me ds was contagious for a week after the spots appeared. a looooooong week.......

Once the blisters have turned to scabs.

Although when DD had them we did take her out for a walk in the pushchair, to get some air - BUT we only walked down deserted oads. Any sign of people and we skipped a road. Never saw anyoone that day at all!

thanks all. i'm going to go out on sunday, maybe sat if she's mostly scabby. seen them on her tongue and more sensitive areas today - poor lovey.
can't wait for it to be all over.
