ringworm

just found this ring of sore skin on my bikini line, looked at google images and it looks like ringworm, been looking it up and found out it's not a worm but other then that don't know what to do! i'm 8months pg and cant see a doctor til monday. i've got a little dog but she hasnt got any sores. still i dont want to touch her which is proving difficult as she's a bit of a lap dog. i feel dirty and worried and i'm probably over-reacting but i just feel scabby! no one else in the family has symptoms and my mums dogs who i and my dog havn't got any symptoms either so its just me! wondering if i could be mistaking it for eczema as i do get that, does eczema ever go in a ring? if anyone knows anything or has any advice or knows if you get it when pg there's something you should do i'd really really appreciate it!

Ringworm is a fungal skin infection - similar to athlete's foot. Absolutely no need to feel dirty or anything. It can be treated with antifungal creams.

I would go to the GP, to check what it is - skin conditions are hard to diagnose yourself because they can vary a lot. Its possible you could have something like an ingrowing hair which could look similar.

Good luck - I don't think you should be panicking, find out what it is, then see if you need to treat the dog as well.

meant to say - I get patches of eczema and they are sometimes circular.

Just get some Canisten cream, it'll dissapear pronto. TBH Id try the cream before going the docs.

Just a thought- I thought I had ringworm once, in a similar area to you- turns out it was a nickel allergy to the button on my jeans . is that a possibility?
