I'm not sure if I'm worried or just feeling sorry for myself...I know people have bigger health issues but I am being plagued by painful but minor ailments...in the last 5mths I've had:

swine flu
infected wisdom tooth
trapped nerve in neck
tonsilitis x 2
stomach bug
hand,foot and mouth disease
very bad cold (proper 3 wk job)
trapped nerve in back
chest infection

I am sick to death of hearing myself saying 'no, i'm not well', I've had quite a lot of time off work and it's affecting all aspects of my life.

None of the ailments have been related but just wondered if this might be a sign that my immune system is down or something. Should I mention this to my doctor or am I just having a run of bad luck?

You poor thing. I have had a similar winter and found it so depressing. My GP did a thorough blood test to check for underlying causes but thankfully there were none. It might be worth getting a similar test.

No real advice as I only wish I knew the answer but lots if sympathy.
