irregular bleeding & other symptoms

I've never posted in Health before so please go easy on me!

My cycle was always 28 days bang on, no PMT, no in between bleeding, nothing out of the ordinary.

Since DS2 was born (nearly 4 years ago), I've started getting an odd thing where for 3 or 4 days before my period properly starts, I get a bit of blood stained discharge, not very heavy but evident, IYSWIM. Then after that, my period starts properly and runs for its normal course. This in itself isn't a problem, more a PITA as you feel as though you're 'on' for longer than normal.

I've also started getting PMT like I've never had it before, feeling tense, stressed and weepy, and increasingly getting a headache that only eases once my period starts.

The last couple of months, my cycle seems to have shortened to about 21 or 22 days before all this fun starts again. My skin is awful, it's worse now than it was when I was a teenager.

Does anyone have any experience of this or any suggestions? I just feel like I'm snapping at everyone and crying every couple of weeks, I look like shit and I never know where the next period is coming from.

I'm 34, btw and not using the pill or coil.

Sorry, no suggestions, just sympathies. My cycles are wonky since DD was born a year ago. I'm currently on the 3rd different pill since last summer and I've been bleeding non-stop for a month now and the same thing happened a few months ago, that's why I have to keep changing pills. So my circumstances are a bit different to yours, and I have no advice for you, but just want to share sympathies. I feel like crap too, skin in a terrible state, constantly tired, weepy and grumpy, like permanent PMT. So to perk myself up I've been trying to treat myself a little more...like long soaks in the bath when possible, using my Boots points for some nice pampering stuff rather than using it just for essentials, eating a little chocolate if I feel like it, wearing nice clothes on an ordinary day that I usually just keep for special occassions....these litte things even seem to help keep me going.
Hugs to you and hope it all gets sorted soon.
