VACCINATIONS

I recently read an article in a British Medical Magazine and was concerned after reading that there are only 2 single vaccinations for mumps and one of these has a small risk of causing mengingitis. Does anyone know what the name of that particular vaccine brand is? I do not want her to have the MMR jab but after reading this I am worried about her having the single jabs.

What about the measles and rubella components of the vaccination, there is also the fact that you will have to subject your child to six injections instead of two.

There are no single mumps jabs available in the UK atm. Just in case you weren't aware of this.

Where vaccination is concerned, the best thing to do is read around as much as possible from reputable sources, avoid anybody who tells you what you should do (particularly by deriding the other option), weigh up the choices and make an informed decision.
