Hi, I have looked through the first five pages of threads and can not find any answers to my problem, but sorry if this thread is a repeat. I wrote a thread around the same concerns the other day but had no answers. I have been ttc for three cycles and this cycle produced all the usual pmt symptoms so i did a pregnancy test on the day before i was due to bleed and it was negative. Three days later i start to bleed about ten drops a day. I have not seen any uterus lining, clots in my menstrual blood. After three days of this type of bleeding and its stopped. What is going on? I think because i am nearly 41 that my periods have become too light to conceive. Also i had a copper non-hormone coil taken out at Christmas....

rabbit - if you are TTC and are concerned I would def go to GP. Never had a coil but wonder how long it takes body to get back to normal once it has been removed?

I went to my doctors on monday and booked in to see a nurse as i thought they would give me some good advice about periods and coils. Well, the nurse seemed annoyed i had booked an appointment with her and therefore did not really listen to what i was saying. She said at one point, "when did you stop taking the pill?" After i explained what had happened to me after the coil. So clearly was not listening. (I usually have a really positive experience with nurses and so she was obviously having an "off" day). I got a little exasperated with the nurse and said i thought she was going to have a magic stick that she could shove up me to make me bleed -she just quickly looked at her computer.

So I have had to wait four days for an appointment for a doctor which will be tomorrow. Anyway, this morning i am beginning to bleed properly! With full "bleeding/period" onstart symptoms. Hooray! ...I think. By tomorrow my body will be relaxed which will be pure pleasure. I still don't want to go through this for a week and a half again every cycle. I even had minor dizzy spells when my body was desperately trying to bleed. So I will see what doctor says tomorrow.

rabbit - have you considered accupuncture? I have been having treatment and my periods are the most regular they have been for years.
I found a practitioner who specialises in gynae/hormone/fertility problems. I have recently read an article about Gerard Kite who has the Kite clinic specialising in fertility accupunture (You magazine 28 Feb) and my therapist regularly refers to the Zita West clinic if she has queries about a client's treatment. You may find researching this subject very interesting - I did!
