Periods - in general, how long between each?

I know vaguely about 28 days, but is that 28 days from the first day of your current period or 28 days from the last day?

From the first day.
28 days is an average, though, which means many many women will have significantly longer or shorter cycles.

mines is 21-23 days from the first day of my last period, it is counted from the first day of your last period.

mine can be 24 days apart then out of the blue shift to 34 ....then back to 24 ...
