Hi has anyone used this? I have had it recommended by my dermatologist but the side effects look a bit scary!!

it worked for me although i had 2 treatments

i had sore lips and my skin was more sun sensitive than usual

all the side effects disappeared when i stopped taking it

Rubyslippers can I ask did you feel depressed? How long ago did you have it and are you still spot free?

I have a friend who says it changed his life. He had the sort of acne down his back that makes any clothes uncomfortable, and it went away.

He does have rather a lot of little scars - apparently any damage to your skin while you are taking ti doesn't really heal properly.

I have used it, side effects spund very scary i agree and it was a big decision to take the drug.

I took a reasonably low dose for around 4/5 months. Side effects for me were very dry lips, sore red looking eyes and slightly dry skin on my face, also very dry hair which neverever got greasy.

Didn't alter my mood whatsoever.

I finished taking it about 9 months ago now and am still totally spot free (amazing). If I ever had to take it again I would without much hesitation.

i used it 8 years ago (second dose)

i am spot free (well, i get the occasional break out)

i didn't get depression whilst on it - TBH my acne was making me more upset

i used it 10 yrs ago, yes side effects look scary - do not get pg!, my main ones were dry eyes, couldn't wear contacts and dry lips. both went away after treatment finished.
it totally cleared my back and chest and improved face but i do still have it sporadically on my face.
like ruby no depression, was more down from having acne for so long and trying unsuccessful treatments.

my sister was prescribed it about 15 years ago - she never became depressed on it but to the contrary. It totally cleared her skin and she became bubbly and her old self again due to her new found confidence.
