I've had SPD since November 2008 and I thought things were getting better, but recently I've experienced a downturn. I'm very disappointed as I have been doing all the right things to get better. I just wondered if other people have had dips like this.

I have really painful hips and pelvic area since having DD 4 years ago. Has really flaired up recently as I have started working out more at the gym to lose some weight. I spoke to a member of staff and they recommended a Physio, which I am seeing anyway for a dodgy knee. Turns out it is all connected as the SPD has left me with (Or maybe I had it before but worsened) very weak hip muscles, which means that any physical exercise and my thigh and knee are compensating for my hip and causing the pain in my hips and thighs.

I saw a physio when I had had DD but only for the first week or so. The physio now is working on strengthening my hip muscles which should help the SPD symptoms and the other pain associated.
