northern, despite my flippancy, I do agree with you that the NHS thing is great especialy if it flags up something potentially life-threatening.

We are all very lucky to live in this part of the planet where our health and that of our babies and children is so well looked after compared to so much of the world.

Bibbity, you'd better come back and reassure us that you are fine!

Hello, am still here.

Pain in arm is almost gone this morning, I think I did damage myself slamming the phone down now I think about it .

Coldy/virus thing feeling better too, I actually feel like having some breakfast today!

Thanks for all input. I was surprised at NHS symptom checker. "Do you have any pain in the left arm?" was one of the first pre-questions asked. I checked that. On next page it said check any of these symptoms that you have, one of which was pain in left arm. I checked that and it said "CALL AN AMBULANCE" in big red letters.

DH was at work an hour away and the two children were upstairs asleep at the time. If I had been really worried about myself I would have phoned an ambulance but I wasn't. I think sometimes its ok to go with your own instincts on health.

Northern - you're absolutely right! I did mean to add another paragraph on the lines of better safe than sorry though, but got distracted by some wine.

I should think before I press post
