Warm water with lemon first thing on a morning before anything else

When I was pg I had to eat all-bran for breakfast every day - that did the trick. I used to have it with banana chips to liven it up a bit.

Washed down with a glass of cranberry to keep cystitis at bay(never had it ever since!) that regime kept my lower reaches in perfect order

Lots of water and some exercise.

Or, if all of the above/below fails, Thorntons Diabetic Toffee will really sort you out. Honestly. Just go easy with it and don't eat a whole packet.

eat half a pineapple ,that will sort you out forever. I thought i was ill until i ate pineapple again . It is one of the strongest natural purgatives. It is a gut irritant.

Other than that go to the gp for lactulose, laxoberal, senna, movicol, fybogel, normacol,dulcolax...there are so many.
