rectal bleeding 6 weeks after c-section?

Hi,

I started bleeding from the rectum for past few days. I dont think it is hamoeroids (spelling....) as I have no pain at the back however i have pains a few centimeters above the c-section scare is.

Should I be worried or is it possible to have hamoroids 6 weeks after c-section and not being constipated at all?

You definitely need to get the bleeding checked out - have you had your 6 week check? How much bleeding is there? Piles are always possible - maybe internal ones you can't see or feel - but I'd still get a GP to check that's what it is.

If it's just a little bleeding, then I would make an appointment with your GP for early next week - anything more and I'd ring NHS direct. Good luck.

How much bleeding is there? Are your poo's red on the inside or the outside (coated IYSWIM)?

Thanks for your replies. I havent checked the poos as I noticed the bleeding first from my pad which was filled with blood at the back.

I think you should contact NHS direct and see if you can get seen by the out of hours, I wouldn't leave this. Rectal bleeding should always be checked out. I hope all is OK.

If it's more than a smear of blood, then you do need to talk to NHS direct, and certainly don't ignore it

I am 6 weeks post section and have piles and the blood is only there when i have been to the toilet and wipe, and it is only on toilert roll not on underwear or anything. If it is on pad i would def ring nhs direct.

Why are you still wearing pads? I was sill bleeding and had a scan and had retained products, i was told shoudnt bleed 4 weeks after section

Thank you all very much for having taken the time to reply.

I went to my 6 week check and since the blood stopped for past few days I didnt want to say anything. However my husband (who is a constant worrier) mentioned it to the doctor and I quickly dismissed it as piles etc.

let's hope it will not return...
