Normal MMR reaction?

My DD has just had her first MMR, a bit late at 15mo.

She was quite ill the day after (yesterday), listless and crying all day, but has perked up and seems much better today- however, the whole upper part of her right arm is quite swollen where she had the jab... is this normal?

Sounds pretty normal to me. From memory, our wee one was a bit up and down the first day. No swollen arm though.

From the NHS website,

"Following any injected vaccine, some people may develop a fever and may feel slightly unwell for a couple of days. There may also be a reaction at the site of the vaccine, usually a small tender area which is red and slightly swollen.

It usually only lasts a day or so and will slowly disappear on its own."

How's her arm today? Has the swelling gone down?

Thank you, dccarm

Her arm is a bit less swollen today, and a little bruised.

I will give it til Monday and take her to the GP if it's no better I think; she seems fine in herself.
