Ovulation pains?

Hi, I've recently come off the pill (13 days ago), & my ovaries are aching quite painfully today. Can you actually 'feel' ovulation? Should it hurt? What else could it be?

Advice gratefully received!

I can sometimes feel it, yes. Feels like someone's jabbed me hard in the stomach.

I get them sometimes, not every cycle. And they can really hurt, like every step I take jars. Had some scans done last summer and ovaries normal and seemingly cyst free mid cycle so I don't think it's anything to worry about but if you are worried then the GP may refer you for a scan mid-cycle to check?

Thank you very much. Feels so silly asking about my bits at 29! Been on the pill for so long though...
