Bleeding after sex

Hi i have just started seeing a new man last relationship about 18 months ago.Sorry if TMI but last night we had sex a few times the last time was quite um rough and i bled.It was just one bright red bleed and no more since.I had my period last week.

I have a smear booked this week anyway as i had one due and i have just booked an appointment for a sexual health check as like i say its a new relationship.Is there anything else i should do?Poor man i was so embarrassed.

I've had this - I think it's called a cervical erosion? I'm pretty sure it's nothing to worry about - I would mention it when you go for your smear.

I remember it was quite a dramatic bright red bleed and scared my poor boyfriend at the time!

I think I was prescribed some cream for it (sorry - was a while ago!)

I had one, bleeding everytime after sex, rough or not.

Quite common and not a major problem. I had mine, eventually, cauterised and have had no trouble since.

Thank you ladies.Im going to tell them at both appointments so hopefully will get it sorted quickly it says on the link that sometimes heal themselves so heres hoping.
